What it does
About Belay
Belay is a free, open-source macOS utility that prevents systems from sleeping while local AI coding agents execute background tasks, then enables standard sleep settings as soon as the agents finish. It includes built-in detection for Claude Code and Codex, along with one-click presets for tools such as Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Cline, Aider, and Pi. Users can also designate custom folders to monitor additional agent workflows. Belay operates strictly on-device without telemetry or accounts, keeping all prompts and code private.
