Chaput is a mobile social network built around conversation and discovery, taking inspiration from the ancient Turkic custom of tying a chaput to a tree to express hopes and intentions. The app lets users discover people via profiles and discussions, starting chats with a thoughtful initial message. Conversations grow like a tree on the user's profile by branching out with incoming replies. To support user privacy, new profiles start as private by default, and a Whisper mode restricts message visibility solely to the two participants in a exchange. Chaput is available on iOS and Android.
