Cloaksmith is a native Mac application built to redact sensitive information from documents locally on your device. Designed for Apple Silicon hardware, it removes names, street addresses, and account numbers without uploading content to external servers. Rather than placing superficial black overlays, Cloaksmith permanently eliminates underlying text and image pixels. It can also swap real personal details with realistic synthetic stand-ins to preserve context when submitting files to AI systems. Supported formats include PDF, Word (.docx), plain text, and image PDFs.
