What it does
About IO Inventory
IO Inventory provides developers with a local system scan to map packages, repositories, runtimes, containers, and AI coding agent dependencies into an architecture view. Operating entirely on the local machine without collecting analytics or uploading data, it allows users to inspect accumulated developer tools, compare environment snapshots to detect setup changes, and bulk-install missing dependencies. IO Inventory also includes a read-only Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to share inventory context with AI clients, all while strictly detecting configuration files without accessing or storing secret tokens.
