About PocketShell
PocketShell is a self-hosted, open-source remote terminal tailored for mobile phone use. Distributed as a single binary that serves its backend and web application frontend on one port, it runs persistent terminal sessions on the host machine so background jobs continue executing while the mobile device is offline. Reconnection relies on per-session sequence accounting to stream only missing output gaps. The application provides lock-screen push notifications for task updates, protects connection data via Noise IK end-to-end encryption, and includes integrated tools for file browsing, code editing, previewing, and Git diff viewing.
