About ScribeShot
ScribeShot is a local-first macOS application designed to transform YouTube videos into structured study materials, including screenshots, timestamped chapters, dynamic mind maps, and notes. Built by Rakesh Kalra, ScribeShot maintains user privacy by keeping transcripts, notes, images, and chat history exclusively on the user's machine. Users can analyze video content locally using Gemma 4 AI models on their Mac's CPU or GPU, or connect their own OpenAI API key, with all finished work exported as standard Markdown text and images into a user-selected folder.
