SiteVault is a local-first extension for Chromium-based browsers designed to protect sensitive web tabs. It locks chosen pages behind a four-digit PIN and provides a recovery backup code. Users can configure auto-locking based on idle timeouts, tab switches, or page loads. Additionally, an optional feature captures camera stills on unsuccessful unlock attempts. Built with Manifest V3, the tool hashes PINs using SHA-256 locally, operating without user accounts, cloud syncing, analytics, or remote data collection.
