About Thread Nimbus
Thread Nimbus is a desktop SSH client built for macOS, Windows, and Linux that runs terminal sessions over ssh2 using xterm.js. It stores passwords and SSH passphrases exclusively inside the host operating system keychain rather than writing sensitive data to disk. The application supports standard terminal capabilities including SFTP, port forwarding, and customizable themes. It also includes an optional AI assistant, Devi, which analyzes proposed commands in the main application process to enforce safety guardrails. Thread Nimbus features a dedicated Presentation Mode to obfuscate IP addresses and hostnames during demonstrations, alongside exportable audit logs for all terminal actions.
