What it does
About Wharfy
Wharfy is a macOS menu bar app, command-line interface, and MCP server designed to inspect listening development ports and manage running processes. It maps active ports back to their originating applications or AI agents using parent process trees and original app icons. Wharfy flags dev servers exposed to 0.0.0.0 on the local network and allows one-click filtering for those exposed ports. To prevent workflow disruption, it safely terminates process trees using SIGTERM and SIGKILL without closing open shell sessions or IDE windows. Additionally, Wharfy integrates with AI agents via Model Context Protocol tools and offers an MIT-licensed CLI on npm.
