WSL Containers
A native Windows Subsystem for Linux feature for running Docker-free Linux containers on Windows 11.
What it does
About WSL Containers
WSL Containers is a native feature built directly into the Windows Subsystem for Linux, enabling developers to run Linux containers on Windows 11 without third-party runtimes or Docker Desktop subscriptions. It includes migration capabilities such as converting Docker CLI commands into wslc commands and analysing Compose files to generate startup scripts. Directory sharing is handled via VirtioFS, and GPU passthrough is supported using the --gpus flag.
